On August 7, 2025, in New Delhi, the International Relations and Global Diplomacy Dialogue (IRGDD) and the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA) signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen Nepal–India ties through cooperation in diplomacy, culture, education, trade, and media. Signed by IRGDD President Amb. Dr. Sarmila Parajuli Dhakal and ICWA Acting Director General Amb. Nutan Kapoor Mahawar, the five-year partnership will promote joint events, research, publication exchange, and people-to-people engagement. In her address at Sapru House, Dr. Dhakal called for a “trust-based, transparent, and transformative” relationship, highlighting shared cultural bonds and economic potential. The event was attended by diplomats, scholars, and dignitaries from both countries, marking a new chapter in institutional collaboration.
